This is a broom I call the "Champ"! It went to the 2001 Kentucky State Fair and won First Place/Champion in the 4-H state nature craft division. I wanted the "Champ" to stand out from the rest so I used broom corn I grew, braided the handle, sewed it flat, carved a design on the handle with a Dremel tool, and stained the wood.
