The Log Cabin Broom Shop
Ever since I started making brooms I have always wanted a log cabin to have my broom shop in. I was taught in a log cabin and it just seems fitting that I have a log cabin broom shop of my own. In the summer of 2004 my dream to a step toward coming true. After talking to Debbie Cook about my log cabin dream, she gave me a log cabin that had been sitting on her farm for years. At first my Mom thought that I was crazy and looking at the first photo below, even I can understand why! But I was determined to restore that cabin so I gathered up a crew and took it down. The cabin is a dog-trot style cabin that was very popular in Kentucky. The finished cabin will be a 40' by 14' with an 8 foot porch. Below are some photos of the cabin project and I will update as progress is made.
